Greetings Jazz ensemble director,
The Wichita Jazz Festival will run from Wednesday, April 20 through Saturday April 23, 2011. The 2011 theme is “Echoes of Africa,” and headlining performers include Gretchen Parlato, Lionel Loueke, the Tia Fuller Quartet with Sean Jones and the Andrew Bishop Trio. Collegiate, high school and middle school bands are invited to perform at the Jazz Invitational on Thursday, April 21, hosted at Wichita State University. Bands will perform between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, in one 30-minute time slot. Early registration fee is $175 and must be included with stage plot and registration form, and must be postmarked by March 1, 2011. Late registrations must be postmarked by March 25, 2011. No registrations will be accepted after March 25, 2011. Registration forms are attached, and can be downloaded HERE. (Link removed after deadline)
